Vapor Phase Soldering

Asscon

Vapor Phase Soldering, also well known as Condensation Soldering, uses for the heating-up process of the assemblies the thermal energy which is emitted by phase change of the heat transfer medium from gas-like to liquid state. This phase change (Condensation) at the complete surface of the solder piece lasts as long until the assembly has reached the temperature of the vapor. Due to the high vapor density and the liquid film as a result of condensation, the complete heating-up process takes place at an oxygen free environment.

The Company ASSCON Systemtechnik-Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1995 as a development and manufacturing association for progressive and innovative Vapour Phase Reflow Soldering Systems. Since then ASSCON pursues their company policy.

Today there are hundreds of ASSCON Vapor Phase Soldering Systems installed world wide. This customer base includes some of the most renowned enterprises in the world.

Key advantages of the Asscon solution are:

  • Oxygen-free soldering process
  • Temperature Gradient Control (TGC)
  • Automatic Solder Break (ASB)
  • Optical Process Control (OSB)
  • Ergonomic system construction
  • Void free soldering

Asscon is supported within Amtest by five engineers with over 20 platforms installed within the Amtest territories.
