Whatever you conclude on your material selection, NORDSON ASYMTEK SYSTEMS have proven that it can SELECTIVELY COAT the material (organic or non-organic) with both high speed and repeatability.
Asymtek's selective coating systems provide a host of advantages for manufacturers at every level of production from batch to high-volume, in-line processing. These flexible, programmable, integrated coating and curing systems provide precise application of conformal coating and IR/convection or UV curing.
The NEW Asymtek S-940 now offers even more advanatages that their previous platform the C-740 (which had sold over 1,000 units in Europe).
Ther new platform offers additionaly
- Servo Motors with 1G peak acceleration
- Coating speed of 750 mm / second (UN RIVALLED WITHIN THE MARKET)
- Repeatability with rotary encoders of +/- 0.025mm
- Fluid pressure, Air pressure, Fan width, Fluid Temperature software monitoring and logging providing traceability
- Larger coating area (500 mm X 475 mm)
- Queuing system
- Spill containment with internal stainless steel areas and Downdraft ventilation system
- 5 Kg carrier / board weight
- Vision system, (teach and fiducial recognition system)
A choice of patented dispensing heads (Film Coater and Swirl Coat Technology) allows systems to be configured to meet specific customer coating requirements. The result is cost savings, increased throughput and productivity.
The prevalent method of choice in Europe is the ‘Film Coater’ a high speed application, in fact as much as 3X faster than competitor spray techniques.
The non-atomised ‘Film Coater’ fan pattern creates a constant fluid stream that has no over spray and allows for high quality edge definition, which may not always be the case with air assist spraying due to the random effect of particles.
In addition Nordson Asymtek realise that reducing variations in the coating process enables improved quality and reliability, key needs of manufacturers within the automotive, avionics, military, medical and commercial markets.
Edge definition…throughput speed …quality build of the equipment has enabled Nordson Asymtek to become the Industry leader (in platforms sold and turnover) in every Continent.
To provide additional process control Nordson Asymtek offer
 |
VCS (viscosity control system)
A heated re-circulating fluid system eliminates viscosity changes in temperature sensitive materials by heating the material to above the limits of the surrounding working environment and maintaining the material temperature at +/- 1 degree C. |
 |
LFWC (laser fan width control)
Closed loop system that both verifies and adjusts the fan width (the applied coating span) to the desired coating parameters. (8mm pattern width as an example). The LFWC System works by using laser sensors to measure the width and if required adjust the fluid pressure to enable the required width symmetry to be achieved. Multiple width sizes can be used on the same populated board to achieve increased speed and improve coating definition |
Further to the quality of the Nordson Asymtek product range is the Companies commitment to the EUROPEAN market by providing at its European Headquarters in Maastricht, Netherlands a
Fully equipped Demo Centre and Laboratory, set up to provide live coating trials and process development
8 European based process engineers
Spare Part Centre (for next day receipt of part shipments within the European Union)
